Top Things to Do at John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk

In 1848, a hurricane created a “pass” as it blew through the barrier islands. The first person to sail through this new break in the coastline? John Levique, a pirate with a mysterious history whose name is nevertheless immortalized in John’s Pass Village.

Step into the turn-of-the-century as you stroll through this fishing village turned charming vacation destination. Quaint boutiques now occupy historic fishing shacks, as do restaurants, sightseeing tours, fishing charters, and more. It doesn’t get more Florida than soaking up the salty sea air blowing in off Madeira Beach as you shop for souvenirs or enjoy a night out.
